"Teatro de Palha" is an ephemeral "building" constructed in the open air, made entirely of straw. It is a theater that stands as a unique example of land art in Portugal—an object of curiosity and interest that draws a steady stream of visitors simply wishing to explore and walk through the "building." At the same time, it hosts a multidisciplinary artistic program over a five-week period between June and July.

The Chilreta Project is an initiative by the Nova Meta Association aimed at promoting the preservation of the Ria Formosa ecosystems through environmental awareness and active community participation. Over the coming months, several environmental cleanup events will be held—open to volunteers of all ages—with the goal of removing waste from the environment and raising awareness about the importance of protecting our natural heritage.

This competition is organized by the Portuguese Volleyball Federation (FPV) under the aegis of the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV), coinciding with the designation of Albufeira as the European Capital of Sport 2026.

The initiative aims to showcase handicrafts produced in Lagos, promote artisanal diversity, and raise community awareness about the importance of preserving traditions and engaging with the creative process.

On July 3rd, the Teatro das Figuras ramp transforms into a prime stage for a dialogue between cinema and live music, featuring a program of diverse offerings that blend the historical avant-garde with contemporary intensity through live cine-concerts.
